Managing People for a Competitive Advantage class Research Paper

Managing People for a Competitive Advantage class - Research Paper ExampleThe affirmative action programs are the only one wannabe way that can be used to deal with racial segregation. According to David L. Chappell, elimination of the programs in the name of their ineffectiveness would just worsen the situation preferably of resolving it. This mainly owes to the fact that, a long period of time would take before former(a) effective programs can be formed. Thus, it would be pause and more time effective to try to fix the loose ends of the current programs instead of eliminating them completely (Chappell, 3).The affirmative action programs are also still needed due to the fact that discrimination and inequality are issues that need experience and expertise in order to be countered. Evidently, the affirmative action programs are full equipped with these two qualities and thus, they can be precise helpful in eliminating cases such as preferential treatment. With the issue of prefe rential treatment being very rampant in the United States, it is only the affirmative action programs that can help since they already have set procedures of solving such issues (Chappell, 4). Despite other people alleging that this action by the affirmative programs would lead to reverse discrimination, in my opinion, this would not happen since the program can come up with measures that just maintain equality without having negative impacts on any race. One other reason that gages the fact that affirmative action programs are still necessary is that other countries such as India are also using the same programs to curtail inequality and discrimination among their citizens (Chappell, 5). The United States should therefore look out for the weaknesses of its program instead of doing forward with it completely. Other countries such as Malaysia have also proved that indeed affirmative programs have positive results if well implemented. In conclusion, I strongly support the fact that a ffirmative action should still be
